Hosts Ross and Sally Smith, ‘The Island’, Wiseman’s Creek, near
Bathurst have kindly invited interested walnut growers to lunch and an afternoon farm walk and discussion session on their walnut enterprise on Saturday afternoon 23 November, 2013,

Topics this year will focus on cockatoo management, tree loss through water logging and management strategies in dealing with these issues.

Schedule:

Friday 22 November

4-5pm - attendees meet at Bathurst Motor Inn for drinks and dinner

Saturday 23 November

8.30am Saturday 2 February visit to Bathurst Ag. Research Station

12.30pm Lunch with hosts Ross and Sally Smith at ‘The Island’, Wiseman’s Creek,

1.30pm Farm walk and discussions on cockatoo and walnut tree management issues

5.30pm Drinks and dinner at a restaurant in Bathhurst

Sunday 24 November

Morning - attendees visit a local vineyard or head home

Cost AWIA members $30; non members $60, payment by cash

or cheque at the event.
